The aim of Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology (ICAR-IIAB) is to strengthen basic and applied research and human resource capacity building in the frontier areas of agricultural biotechnology. Its mandates are: 1. Basic and strategic research in agricultural biotechnology, and 2. Development of quality human resources for academic excellence in agricultural biotechnology and policy support.
