Technology Interventions for Disabled and Elderly (TIDE)

About

The revised Technology Intervention for Elderly (TIE) program, now known as Technology Interventions for Disabled and Elderly (TIDE), aims to provide individuals with disabilities with individual autonomy and independence through holistic development by creating an enabling environment for their empowerment through the application of science and technology, in addition to offering technological solutions with a multidisciplinary approach to solve the problems and improve the quality of life of the elderly population with focused initiative on S&T interventions.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Proposals can be submitted by Academic/R&D Institutions/Potential Voluntary Organizations (NGO’s) with proven track record in executing S&T based projects.
  2. The proposal should clearly define the statement of the problem based on identified needs and state-of-the-art survey, objectives focusing on the proposed solution, project deliverables, market potential and well defined tie up with professional agencies/ industries for technology development/ testing/verification/adaptation/production and commercialization wherever possible.
  3. The “problem identification” and “user group” are mandatory in all the proposals.
