This program provides an opportunity to Indian students to undertake a research internship at the Viterbi School of Engineering for a period of 8 weeks. The Program is envisaged to promote research and capacity building in frontline areas of engineering and technology and encourage outstanding students to take up research as a career. It provides an opportunity to the best and brightest Indian students to gain exposure and access to world class research facilities in the Viterbi School. It also paves the way for the next generation engineers from India to interact with American peers, thus help building long-term R&D linkages and collaborations.Indian students currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree at recognized institutions of higher education in India in the field of Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences and Computational Sciences. The Scholarship includes Stipend and Airfare.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Indian students currently pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree at recognized institutions of higher education in India.
2. Open to students of Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computational Sciences.
3. Grade Point Average (GPA) of 8.5 or higher (or equivalent of 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale); Percentage equivalent: 80% and higher.
4. Students must be in their 3rd year of a 4-year Bachelor's program, 3rd or 4th year of a 5-year Bachelor's program, or the first year of a Master's program.
