BEST-India is a programme executed and managed by Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises, ABLE – India and aimed at encouraging young postgraduates and doctoral students in developing biotechnology entrepreneurship by exposing them to issues involved in commercialisation of bioscience. The objective of this training and induction is to nurture young innovative minds to create an entrepreneurial mind-set, raise the individual’s motivation and capacity, to identify an opportunity and to pursue it to produce new value or economic success. Initiated for encouraging innovation and enterprise in students, this programme has yielded quite a few start-up companies by the winning teams.
