Post Graduate Students

The scheme has been initiated to provide opportunity to the deprived sections of the society, viz. the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) for undertaking postgraduate level studies in Professional subjects like Engineering & Technology, Management, Pharmacy etc. in recognised Indian Universities/ Institutions. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance to 1000 SC/ST candidates every year. Eligibility: i) The candidate must have obtained Graduate degree in the relevant subject and obtained admission at Postgraduate level for regular full time course in any of the Professional subject in a recognized University/Institution/College.ii) The upper age limit for 45 and 50 yrs for male and female applicants respectively. In exceptional cases, the age may be relaxed.Fellowship amount: A scholarship amount of Rs.7800 p.m. to ME/M.Tech students while Rs.4700 p.m. to those pursuing other courses is given. Annual Contingency of Rs.15000 for ME/M.Tech students while that of Rs.10000 for other courses is also provided. The tenure of fellowship is for two/three yrs, depending upon tenure of the postgraduate course.

SC/ST candidates who are pursuing Post Graduate level studies in Professional subjects at recognized universities/ institutes/colleges.
