Women Scientist Scheme-B (WOS-B) focuses on projects related to Science & Technology (S&T) interventions for societal benefit. Women scientists who wish to apply under this scheme are required to develop their own project/proposals for scientific and technological solutions to address issues preferably at enhance quality-of-life the grassroots level. Eligibility: Eligibility: (i) Ph.D. in Basic or Applied Sciences or equivalent degree; (ii) M.Phil/M.Tech/M.Pharm/M.VSc or equivalent degree; (iii) M.Sc in Basic or Applied Sciences/B.Tech/MBBS or equivalent degree Fellowship amount: Rs.55,000/- per month for first eligibility group, Rs.40,000/- per month for second eligibility group and Rs.30,000/- per month for third eligibility group

Women having qualifications in science & technology areas and in the age group of 27-57 years with break in their career but interested in addressing a well-defined/identified societal challenge through viable S&T interventions are eligible to apply.
