We aim to develop a personalized pollution monitoring system with the following features:
1. The device apart from sensing air & noise parameters should be able to generate alerts (caution with the suggestive measures) to the user based on his/her health profile (lung capacity, age, history of diseases, etc.), mobility history & pollution exposure levels sensed by the device till that time of the day.
2. Despite being affordable, there should be an intelligence associated to ensure the reliability of the sensor, like calibration and detection of sensor faults to ensure timely replacement.
3. Such a system must ensure privacy to some extent as it might deal with health-related data and user mobility data.
4. The system must go beyond passive sensing; it should be able to learn and model the correlation between the pollution risks and associated health hazards of that individual.
