Work of Breathing (WoB) measurement helps in monitoring the respiratory status of ventilated patients to intervene timely patient-ventilator interaction, Indicates augmented respiratory support or the failure of the existing respiratory support and, tracks the effectiveness of therapies by measuring the work elevated during respiration. Currently, most methods for monitoring WoB measurement involve measuring airflow or lung volume, which can be invasive or require expensive equipment. This project attempts to develop a simple, cost-effective device that can measure WoB noninvasively.
