The key goal in the first objective is to develop an automated framework for sleep stage classification. As there is a scarcity of publicly available PSG data from Indian cohorts, we aim to perform sleep analysis from the data collected from the sleep lab of NIMHANS. The existing sleep PSG data would be manually annotated by sleep experts from NIMHANS. The annotated PSG data would be used to analyze and develop a software framework. The objective is to develop a better performing deep learning framework that classifies several sleep stages using the PSG data. To kick-start the building of deep learning model, existing PSG data (retrospective data of about 100 patients) would be annotated and used to develop a sleep data repository to be hosted on the IHub-Data apart from a prospective data collection exercise.
