Traditional public key infrastructure (PKI) is not suitable for resource constrained users in
a FOG-CPS environment. So, the reseach team has adopted identity-based cryptography (IBC) technique.
They have decentralized the master secret key distribution mechanism of IBC among the
user group members (FOG nodes) to mitigate the key-escrow problem. They have employed threshold cryptography techniques to distribute the role of the private key
generator (PKG) among the user group members (FOG nodes).
