CNC milling process is majorly employed for producing parts in automobile and aerospace industries. Inspection of the workpiece surface quality & workpiece settings inside the machine environment is necessary to ensure tight tolerances. Developing a vision-based on-machine system can be a potential solution. Vision-based systems offer a promising solution for performing on machine inspection activities aligning with Industry 4.0 automation. This project aims to develop spindle mounted vision-based on-machine inspection systems in the manufacturing environment to maintain the quality control of the final machined product.
