This project, "Path Rakshak," addresses the urgent need for enhancing public bus safety in India through real-time driver alertness monitoring, particularly during long-distance and nighttime travel. Initially focusing on driver monitoring, we collect extensive data from diverse regions to ensure system robustness and adaptability. Future phases will integrate broader road safety aspects, including external traffic conditions, vehicle status, and infrastructure monitoring. This phased strategy allows incremental validation and comprehensive enhancement of public transportation safety.
