About

A prototype sensor device is proposed to detect commonly used anesthetic drugs such as fentanyl, propofol and midazolam. The proposed device will be similar to the presently available glucometers and we will have three strips for the different drugs. The sensing of each drug can be done from a drop of blood and the drug concentration is displayed within 2-3 min. It will be helpful for the anesthetists to predict the required amount of anesthetic drug to be injected during different surgical procedures.
