About

A glider with solar cells on the wing can be used as a satellite in stratospheric altitudes. The energy optimization of flight energy expended versus solar energy gathered is a challenging task. Developing miniature and lightweight solar converters, bidirectional battery converters, BLDC drivers and glider wings with high lift/drag. Involves multiple diverse disciplines: aerodynamics, materials, power electronics, control algorithms, sensors and estimation, etc.
