Smart factories and manufacturing are expected to provide innumerable benefits to society in the future. An integral part of such systems would be entities, such as robots, that use asense-compute-actuate cycle. We expect that Wireless Networked ControlSystems (WNCS) would play a major part, with control algorithms for such entities (named plants) deployed remotely and the control loop between the plant and the controller closed over a wireless multihop network
