The objectives of the proposed project are as follows:
I. Design of a cost effective, distributed and automatic dust suppression system for haul roads in opencast coal mines.
II. Development of a sensor-based water sprinkling system for reducing wastage of water and muddy environment of the road.
Deliverable:
I. A complete product of a sensor-based dust suppression system with automatic water sprinkling arrangement for haul roads in opencast coal mines.
II. A low-cost industry-ready system.
