a) Novel algorithm for IRS phase optimization considering the channel statistics of underground mines (without dust deposition) b) Novel channel estimation algorithm using pilots for both uplink and downlink of IRS-aided wireless system for underground mines considering single user system. c) Data detection algorithm for both uplink and downlink d) Novel algorithm for IRS phase optimization considering the channel statistics of underground mines, with dust deposition. e) Channel estimation and data detection for multi-user IRS systems for underground mines with dust deposition. f) Establishing a practical transceiver system using Software-defined radio (SDR) boards for image/voice transmission in underground mines without IRS. (This deliverable is based on Hardware boards, which may require some extra funds)
