About

To keep the onion Stock safe for a long time, the temperature and humidity of the storage room should be maintained. As with time, when the rotting process starts, there are multiple gasses which are emitted by rotting onion bulbs. Some major gasses are Ammonia(NH3), Carbon di-oxide (CO2), Sulphur di-oxide (SO2) and Hydrogen sulfide (H2S). The major change in the concentration of these gasses and a rise in temperature is the first sign that the rotting has started. Our Device will continuously Monitor the emitted gasses and the temperature in the storage room. The onion rotting sensor keeps a correlation in the concentration of these emitted gasses and temperature rise in the storage room, and if the concentration value of gasses and temperature value rises above the predefined standards, the device will show on display that this is the time to take action or the whole stock will be spoiled. Concentration of gasses can give us the idea about the level of rotting of onions. At the specified first level (also often called as warning level) of gas sensed (in ppm), a warning light indicates that the rotting has started. If detected gas exceeds second level (also may be called as hazardous level for onions rotting), a different color indication will be displayed along with a message on the display. The final warning message will be along with an alarming sound and red light display on the device. The complete data of gasses and the temperature and humidity of the store will be uploaded to the cloud so that the user can track the live data and can also see the previous data of the storage room which will be available in the database on AWS
