About

Maintaining productivity while minimizing environmental impact is a significant challenges that modern agriculture faces. Efficient monitoring of gases like ammonia (NH₃), methane (CH₄), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is crucial for optimizing fertilizer use, improving livestock health, and ensuring sustainable farming practices. Enhanced Agricultural Efficiency through Customizable Metal Oxide Sensors” explores the development of highly adaptable gas sensors tailored for agricultural applications. Leveraging the sol-gel synthesis method, these sensors integrate doped zinc oxide (ZnO) nanostructures, which offer excellent sensitivity, selectivity, and durability under diverse environmental conditions. By fine-tuning parameters such as doping type, morphology, and operating conditions, these sensors provide precise and cost-effective solutions for real-time gas monitoring, paving the way for smarter and greener farming practices.
