The proposed project will cater to the need of indigenous technology anddevice development in the field of dentistry such as ceramic (Alumina) dentalbraces. Development of Alumina feedstock with optimised composition,morphology, binder type/content and optimising sintering kinetics ofgreen compacts to achieve desired mechanical properties such as;hardness, wear resistance, compressive strength etc.Design and development of novel Alumina based ceramic dental bracesadopting Micro ceramic Injection Moulding (μ-CIM) technique andclinical trials.
