The proposed solution aims to enhance GST compliance and prevent evasion by integrating a mechanism into existing UPI applications. Customers making payments to businesses can verify if the recipient is GST registered. If not, they can enter the GSTIN number for validation. This ensures all transactions are registered against the relevant GST number, curbing tax evasion. Additionally, businesses using multiple VPAs are unable to evade taxes, as each transaction can be marked against a GST number. Cash transactions can also be registered through the "Mera Bill Mera Adhikar" application, further increasing GST compliance and transparency.
