Mushtaq Ahmed Dar has developed Walnut Peeler, a unique motor operated machine, which mechanically peels green walnuts in a faster and efficient manner. The device rotates the green walnuts inside a container and the walnuts get peeled due to the cutting blades attached on two discs, the lower and the upper discs. The Walnut Cracker cracks the dry walnuts of various sizes, shapes and hardness automatically. The shells are separated easily without damaging the nuts, which is otherwise done manually. The machine consists of two specially designed adjustable twin rollers with specific geometries to grip the walnut and deliver impact action. Both walnut peeler and cracker are very efficient, affordable and useful machines for farmers and dry fruits processing units.
