The material consists of a corrugated core of metal and a case of special IPN polymer, which gives a product having low density, high stiffness and very high resistance to environmental degradation even in extreme environment seawater. It also has vibration-damping capabilities and it can be imparted fire retardant properties. It can be easily fabricated in various shapes. The properties can be tailored depending on the requirement.
