Tree felling machine was developed. It can be used for trees grown under agroforestry and social forestry programmes. It is mounted in front of the power tiller. The machine is provided with 45-cm serrated disc saw, sliding mechanism and control-and-gauge wheel. The disc saw rotates at 2,100 rpm. The rotating saw moves forward and backward while cutting trees with lead screw and wheel handle. Gauge wheel helps in adjusting height for cut and also provides balancing and stability to machine.
