Project Overview

Process: This process involves addition of organic and inorganic inhibitors in the powder form while blending fly ash with portland pozzalona cement at the blending stage. This blended Portland pozzalana cement can be identified as corrosion resistant Portland pozzalana cement (CRPPC). Advantages: a) It can offer higher corrosion resistant due to this corrosion inhibiting properties of the inhibitors added to it. b) The synergistic effect of the inhibitors offers better passivation to the steel reinforcement. c) This process will also serve the dual purpose of disposal of waste product viz. fly ash and utilization of the same for durable construction even in severe corrosion environments.
