Potential partial replacement for chrome tanning exhibiting high exhaustibility thereby providing eco-friendly option for tanning. It is a synthetic tanning material used on complexed aluminum. The process involves sulphonation of aromatic compound condensation with amino resin, aluminum salt complexation and subsequent drying. It uses, produces soft, supple, full and white leather with little stretch thus suitable for suede leather.
