The cinema arc carbon used in motion picture projections, photolithography and searchlights. The technology for manufacture of these carbons were developed by National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. The corporation licensed the technology to several companies who has commercialised successfully and supplied the product to the cinema industries. The cinema industries obtained the benefit of the development of the technologies in sixties
