The invention discloses a process for the preparation of stable, self-standing and crystalline membrane made of crystalline porous polymers or COF. Further, the invention provides a rapid synthesis of Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) comprising an aromatic diamine, an aldehyde and a co-agent, for dehumidification of different natural gases with high crystallinity and porosity.
