IN256101: A process for the preparation of xylanase from ragi malt
Abstract
The invention relates to a process for obtaining xylanase from ragi malt wherein several parameters were examined i.e extraction buffer, ionic strength of extractant, number of extractions, detergent, phenolic adsorbent and defined metal ion concentration to yiled high xylanase activity. In this invention Larchwood xylan is used as the substrate and xylanase activity is estimated using Dinitro Salicylic acid (DNS) method. Process involves steps of adding ionic detergent, phenolic adsorbent and metal ion to dispersed solution of ragi malt, stirring, centrifuging and dialyzing to obtain xylanase.
