Abstract
An equipment for collecting an unbiased coal sample from open railway wagons for quality analysis, which comprises a movable and adjustable gantry mounted sample collecting unit; characterised in that the said sample collecting unit essentially consisting of a bottom open cylindrical capsule having at the bottom circumference a plurality of fixed cutting teeth and a plurality of hinged radial strips; the said cylindrical capsule being provided with means, such as motor(s) and gear box arrangement for rotational as well transnational motion.
