Abstract
The invention discloses an economic, simple, azide and aziridine complexity free process for the synthesis of osletamivir phosphate (Tamiflu) by stereospecific amidoalkylation of imidazothiazolone from easily available L-cysteine via Ramberg-Backlund reaction and Sharpless-Reich protocol.
