The invention relates to 6-aryl-4-phenylamino quinazolines of formula I wherein, R and R" are as herein described. The invention particularly relates to synthesis and anticancer and phoshpoinositide-3-kinase-a (PI3K-a) inhibitory activity. In addition, the invention relates to methods of using compounds for treating or preventing various cancers such as pancreatic, prostate, breast and melanoma.
