US9062019: Process for the epoxidation of fatty acids, their esters and mixtures thereof
The invention relates to an improved process for preparing mono and poly epoxy functionalized fatty acids, their esters and mixtures thereof using solid catalyst i.e. supported group VIB metal oxide, said support comprising silica, alumina and mixtures thereof, optionally with a promoter from group VA wherein the group VIB metal oxide content in the catalyst is 5-20 wt % of support.
