IN375229: A process for the preparation of biocompatible and bioactive macro porous nanosized biphasic calcium phosphate bone healing nanocomposites
The invention provides a process for the synthesis of 3D macroporous biphasic calcium phosphate nanocomposites using a template comprising synthetic material and biopolymer along with inorganic mineral. Biopolymer and inorganic mineral together form a template and after addition of biphasic calcium phosphate leads to the formation of three dimensional macroporous biphasic calcium phosphate block. The invention relates to the development of biomedical device particularly in bone graft/scaffold system. The synthesized biocompatible and bio active macroporous nanosized biphasic calcium phosphate bone healing nanocomposites exhibit mechanical strength is in the range of human cancellous bone.
