IN289935: Process to prepare hierarchical mesoporous zeolites with varying micro-and meso-porosities using organosilane templates
The inventors has discovered that, by varying the relative ratios of a micro-SDA (microporous-Structure Directing Agent) and a meso-SDA (mesoporous-Structure Directing Agent), it is possible to synthesize nanoporous materials with different ratios of micropores and mesopores. Specifically, the inventors have confirmed that it is p ossible to control the mesoporous structure and the zeolite nanocrystallites forming the mesopore walls when a meso-SDA selected from an organosilane is added in varying concentrations into a mixture containing micro-SDA for synthesizing a molecular sieve, resulting in materials with varying micro- and meso- porosities.
