IN377711: An improved anaerobic process and horizontal twin tube processing device for the extraction of fibres from biomass
This invention illustrates an improved anaerobic process and horizontal twin tube processing device which enable clean and fast separation of plant fibres embedded in matrices of plant biomass for reducing the environmental pollution in pulp making. The process comprises chipping and shredding or pulverising. of non-woody plant biomass, particularly subjecting to the treatment of anaerobic sludge in the specially designed horizontal twin tube processing device under controlled conditions of moisture and mixing, where the pH is maintained in the range of 6.5 -8.0 without adding any chemicals. Expedited degradation and biomethanisation of the biochemicals are achieved in the device through microbial activity, and the process discharges the fibrous materials for pulping and biological sludge valuable as organic manure and also releases biogas fuel.
