IN291730: An improved process for catalytic dehydration of lactic acid to acrylic acid
Disclosed herein is an improved process for the catalytic dehydration of lactic acid to acrylic acid. More particularly, the invention discloses catalytic dehydration of lactic acid to acrylic acid with high selectivity and yield for acrylic acid using calcium phosphate (CP) catalyst with varying Ca/P ratio optionally modified with 5wt% sodium.
