Internships

"For 2nd and 3rd year UG studentsof metallurgy, materials science/engineering and manufacturing with the following criteria: 1. The applicant should be a full-time/regular student at the time of application and till the completion of the internship. 2. Applicants should have a minimum CGPA of 8.0 to be eligible for the internship. 3. Applicant should identify a faculty mentor at one of the IITs or IISc for their summer internship. 4. The faculty mentor should provide a consent/confirmation of internship supervision on their letterhead or by email, clearly stating the title of the project and duration. 5. The applicant should be able to work full time (minimum one month) for the Internship at the host institution. Part-time/online internship is not allowed. 6. The applicant must give a declaration that they will not be receiving any other external fellowship during this period. 7. The student should be enrolled as a Student Member of IIM, which is free. 8. Fellowship will be paid only after the completion of their internship and on successful submission of the internship report. 9. If the number of applications is high, the selection committee may apply additional criteria to finalize the shortlist. 10. Applicants are responsible for arranging their own boarding and lodging during the internship."
