The Centre of Excellence in Science and Mathematics Education (COESME), Pune

The Centre of Excellence in Science and Mathematics Education (CoESME) at IISER, Pune has been set up as a part of the Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching under the ambit of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India. CoESME aims to strengthen science education in India by engaging with various stakeholders, in particular teachers of school and undergraduate level science and mathematics. Centre helps to impart pedagogy training to teachers as well as hands training in science education to teachers and students from schools, colleges, universities and research institutes. CoESME promotes concept-based learning, with emphasis on pedagogical innovation by and for teachers.
