Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL), Mysore, a laboratory of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was established to meet the challenges with respect to food requirements. DFRL is researching various aspects of food science and technologies such as the development of convenience foods, preservation of foods, nutritional and biochemical evaluation, food safety, and food packaging.
