The Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR), Kozhikode (Calicut) a constituent body of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is a major Institute devoted to research on spices. The mandate of the institute is Basic, applied and strategic research on genetic resource management, crop improvement, crop production and protection technologies for enhanced production of safe spices.
