Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR India), New Delhi, is a pioneer research institute in India which was established in 1953 for advanced research and development in the field of Electronics. The institute is to become a globally renowned coveted destination for scientific knowledge, research excellence and innovative technology in electronics as well as allied sciences & engineering, with high social and strategic impact. CSIR-CEERI has created a niche for itself in terms of its major contributions in electronics & allied science and engineering covering microwave devices, sensor technologies, VLSI design and Embedded Systems with a high societal and strategic impact. CEERI scaled up its ambitions and took up major initiatives in the field of microwave tubes technologies and strategic microwave tube design and development, particularly high power microwave tubes with high efficiency and high reliability. Simultaneously, a major R&D effort was launched in the area of MEMS, micro-sensors and non-Silicon technologies.
