National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi

The National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), registered in 1988 under the Government of Bihar, presently has its Head Quarter at New Delhi. The main objective of the academy is to bring awareness about the environment among the masses by arranging lectures, demonstrations, training programmes, seminars, conferences, publishing journals, etc. It aims to enhance and promote the study of environmental sciences and allied areas among youngsters, researchers and scientists. Additionally, it is involved in setting up regional and state chapters for dissemination of information on environment. NESA publishes policy papers, synthesis volumes, proceedings, journals, newsletter, transactions and other publications for the promotion of environmental sciences. It also engages in activities such as organization of eco-clubs and training programmes on environmental management. Academy also recognizes the merit and achievements of individuals who have made significant contributions to environmental sciences, education and societal values by conferring fellowships and awards
