Madhya Pradesh Agency For Promotion Of Information Technology (MAP_IT), Bhopal, is a government society which has been constituted to propel the growth of Information Technology (IT) in Madhya Pradesh and implement the State IT Policy. Its objective is to encourage Information Technology related activities and innovations in the state. In the line of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI), at State level State Spatial Data Infrastructure (SSDI) is formed. The centre at MAP_IT is aimed at setting up SSDI in Madhya Pradesh, regulate remotely sensed data, encourage GIS & RS technology in governmental processes and to maintain & allow easy access of spatial data among all the stake holders.
