Project Overview
The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) was established by IUST as a Section-8 Company CIED-IUST FOUNDATION to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among youth in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. This is crucial for the country's development and economy, as it leads to business growth, social change, and community development. The Centre aims to increase start-ups and make the region export-oriented. Its core philosophy is to change youth mindsets towards innovation and entrepreneurship, especially in rural areas facing unemployment. The Centre has developed an enabling ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship, encouraging budding entrepreneurs through critical, lateral, and design thinking.
