Project Overview
The proposed project aims to develop an indigenous two-photon polymerization equipment for 3D printing of nanostructures, with the specific objectives of designing, fabricating, and integrating a system that can use the two-photon polymerization process to fabricate 3D printed nanostructures. The work plan includes designing and integrating optical elements and nano resolution XYZ stage, developing a tool path planning software, optimizing laser power, scanning speed, and wavelength, and studying material science aspects of 3D printing of polymers. The project's expected outcome is an equipment that can fabricate high-resolution, complex 3D printed nanostructures using a wide range of materials, which would enable local researchers and manufacturers in India to make significant contributions to the field of nanotechnology and materials science, particularly in defense, aerospace, medical, and general engineering.
