Project Overview

Polariton Bose-Einstein condensates(pBECs) are half matter-half light quasiparticles belonging to the domain of nonequilibrium systems. Even though they can be experimentally realized in a temperature regime ranging from a few kelvins to room temperature, pBECs are highly unstable and stabilizing them continues to be challenging even today. The above project plans to extract the associated nonlinear excitations existing in the domain of pBECs in different settings and analyze their stable regimes. In particular, it envisages to identify various theoretical models in pBECs to improve their stability and lifespan.
