Project Overview
This project is to study various high energy phenomena namely particle acceleration, energy extraction and superradiance in the background of various WH spacetimes inspired by non-exotic matter in GTR and modified theories of gravity. These investigations would be helpful to distinguish the WHs from other compact objects mainly black holes. The motion of both the massless and massive particles (spinning and nonspinning) is to be investigated to understand the Physics of WHs. Our investigations involve the rigorous numerical analysis of the equations involved in and therefore we will develop new programms as per the necessity. The results to be obtained analytically and numerically would help us in understanding the new Physice in diverse context. The phenomenon like gravitational lensing is to be used to search and constrain WHs (motivated by the non-exotic matter and modified gravity models) is also an important objective from astrophysical point of view which is to be investigated in detail. Further, the study of above mentioned high energy phenomena will use to understand the physics of gamma-ray bursts, active galactic nuclei, and black hole jets. Moreover, the investigations to be carried out during this project on gravitational wave signals from the massive spinning particle rotating around WHs would lead to some new insights in gravitational wave astronomy.
