Development of High Gain Circularly Polarized Microstrip MIMO Antenna for IoT Based Wireless Drone Application to Enhance the Border Security Surveillance Using Satellite Frequency Band
Day by day disturbances from neighboring countries are increasing rapidly for different issues. To save our people from enemies, we need to concentrate more on the border security system. India needs to improve its border security system a lot digitally because it shares a large land border area with neighboring seven countries. A large number of border security forces are required to cover a large India border area. A huge amount of money has been sanctioned in each and every financial budget. After spending a lot of money for security purposes, its efficiency is not satisfactory. Some places of the border till now have no shield facility available. Even there is no option to shield it. Hence, day by day illegal immigrant and anti-Indian activities are increasing rapidly. We can use IoT-based wireless drones at the land shared broader and maritime areas for surveillance to enhance the security and reduce the manpower with strong security. We need a high-gain directive antenna to transmit and receive signals for covering a large area between the headquarters of the official and the incidence place with a strong link. A broadband, high-speed, and low-latency internet is required to transfer high-quality photographs captured by high-resolution cameras and video files. To fulfill all these necessary properties, a high directive gain in microwave frequency band antenna is a suitable candidate. The microstrip MIMO antenna is low cost, flexible, dual polarization is possible, low profile, compact, and it can be integrated easily in any electronic devices. The multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna can be considered for enhancing signal stability. However, if any one signal is lost due to some bad condition of weather or interference, others signals can recover and continuous uninterrupted communication can happen. Hence, not only the border security systems, this technology can also be used inside the countries to enhance the security system with minimum cost. To control centrally all the drones, the satellite X-frequency band is very efficient, and the device will be compact. The main advantages of satellite frequency bands for drone control are that they enable the transmission of signals between satellites and ground stations, facilitating various essential services such as navigation and data transmission (high-quality picture). However, our aim is to develop high-gain circularly polarized MIMO antennas. Also, no research work has been found in open literature that the MIMO antenna gain is more than 12 dBi with circular polarization so that it can be used for drone application using satellite frequency band. This is the new idea to enhance the security system in the defense sector by reducing the manpower. A peak simulated gain of 11.4 dBi is achieved using FR4 substrate. By selecting a less lossy PTFE or Rogers substrate for designing the proposed model, maximum gain can be enhanced further easily.
