Project Overview

Glioblastoma multiform (GBM) is the most potent cancer and constitutes 49% of all primary malignant brain tumors. It affects 7 in every 100,000 people and is challenging to treat due to the blood-brain barrier limiting drug delivery. To overcome the problem, we will develop a non-invasive electrochemical sensor, validate it in in-vivo models, and identify the cellular interactions impacted by Skimmianine through network analysis. The expected results include advancing the knowledge base on the biology of GBMs and better outcomes due to earlier detection and tailoring treatment.
